Technology highlight

・A hemispherical-shaped lightning conductor is adopted, rather than the sharp electrode shape of conventional lightning rods, making electrical discharges difficult, and currents from the ground surface are suppressed by including an insulator to prevent so-called "welcoming discharges" (technical term: stepped leader) that attract lightning strikes.

・This lightning protection system is compatible with the power-receiving provisions of the Building Standards Act.
